When snaring ?
How big a loop do I need to snare a common rat?
It's bugging my chickens so it's gotta go.
I could set a foothold or rat trap but jerrys got some.mink snares so we thought we'd have a little fun.and try something new..
Well be using mink snares.

The problem is they come in all sizes I’d go rat traps the last time I messed with rats the snap traps came through. Thought I had a few ended up with the whole family of them. The last one took 6 weeks to get caught.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

No rats here,but if you look at some videos of rats it will be easy to figure it out.
Pay attention to how they hold their head relative to the ground and the movements/placement of their front feet when they are walking.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I might be more aped to try 110 with pans , I think wolfie did a thread on his rat trapping with 110s
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Get some of those little novelty keychain-sized double long springs and try those, with little miniature dirt holes. Lol. Those suckers cost 13.09 at th conventions,I saw em. Thanks everyone for the answers. Qere gonna do a little experimentin.

A deadfall would be a hoot. I put 110s out and they ran around or through them the one I did get in a 110 was running wild because I was shooting at it. I had 2 tunnel traps out nothing in either of them.
