So, always tried to do my best to teach my little brother how to have a chill controlled head right. Really harped on him about taking care of his mental health and not freaking out about stuff to easily especially when stressed. Not to mention he's seen me deal with alot of my own mental health crap so now hes got the general disposition of a capybara. You know them 150lbs semi aquatic rodents from south America that just don't seem to really care about anything. Will walk through a beach if Cayman and just not let it bother them. It's really really hard to get him upset or in a bad mood. He's not cold or just makes a joke out of everything but he just refuses to get his blood pressure up and start screaming and hopping and hollering because he see that generally it just pain doesn't help anything most of the time is usually more of a detriment. He won't argue with most people either . (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) have a debate or discussion all day but when you start being belligerent he'll just shut you down and walk off.
Well he calls me about an hour ago and says his car is acting really weird seems to be over heating so he pulled it over to kinda a vacant part of the parking lot. Then there was smoke and paint peeling then fire. Whole time he's talking like it's a normal conversation. And he's haut trying to diagnose what's up real focused like Yep I'm calling the fire department, yep I'm calling the school, yep I getting fire extinguishers and getting eveyone to move their car's, yeah dad's on the way so on and so forth
Called me back . Explains it's totalled ( front end caught fires burned everything back to the driver's section but don't get to the gas tank) but all his instruments are out he's about to talk with the insurance company to see what they can do and I can almost her this kid shrug over the phone as he says " well looks like I have another reason to get a part time past getting new instruments and walking around campus will be good exercise ."
I mean I really happy he's a cool cucumber under stress but dear Lord I think I taught him too well.
