Had a blinker go out. While replacing, I found that the black plastic housing was melted. Pulled the other-same thing. A google search took me to some Toyota forums and those guys talk in acronyms because they all know what theyre saying. Also talking about mounting and wiring in resistors. In plain speak, has anyone dealt with this?

I see it on headlight connectors all the time. You need to replace the socket, and possibly get a bulb with lower amperage. You'll have to do some research for that. LED bulbs are an option.

Thanks for the info. You would think this would be something that was figured out by now. People have been using headlights and blinkers for a long time…

The bulb socket is two pieces when the bulb stops working. You must replace the socket the bulb goes in. A lot of times the bulb is still good.
You can google it for better demo on what to replace. Parts are availible on Amazon.

The new bulb functions. I havent looked at the old one other than seeing the plastic is melted. Either way, it wasnt functioning.
