Good luck on the app to find them. I have had them pop out from sweat which can also put them out of commission as will ear wax. The VA cautioned me about wearing them during noisy work as it will speed up the hearing loss. Learn to guard what hearing you have left as it will NOT return and for me hearing aids just make all the noise louder and don't help to separate what used to be able to.Background noise will make it even worse.

Sometimes if the aids get wet you can dry them out in a jar of rice but DON'T apply any heat as they will be damaged easy. I am to the point I have to see what folk are saying to me. My wife has to translate for me now and no way can I use a phone anymore. Something you will have to learn to work around.

[Linked Image] these are the ones I'm looking into getting. the miracle ears ones that I had work well but were way too expensive to buy ever 3-4 year, I lost two in 4 years , I had insurance, but to replace still cost 400, each. I have talk to lots of people and they say the cheap ones work good

It's been less than a week now, but I have two hearing aids, I went with the Jabra Enhance Pro and I got them from Costco. I wouldn't have thought about Costco if I hadn't read this thread, they are the largest supplier for hearing aids, 2nd only to the VA.
The only Cons for Costco is there's no medical exam if you have an underlying physical condition causing hearing loss and they do not process insurance, notwithstanding the insurance issue, they were still a better value after factoring in the deductible. If you have young hunters or involved in shooting sports, ear plugs and earmuffs are recommended, competition shooting was my leading contributor to the loss. I asked if I should wear a different protection for hunting and she said, the Jabra shuts out any noise over 90 Db, I'm sure other brands do also. If people tell you you're missing out on a lot, they're right and it's annoying. I'm getting my favorites dialed in and starting with the priority settings first. Thanks for the input.
