Well sure what could possibly go wrong. Of course I assume counselor that you'd support Japs paying me some reparations for the loss of an ancestor in about 1944 or 45. That of course is a much more recent affront to mankind in general than slavery was.
Can we could on your support BC? Because if not you are now guilty of racism. Opps...

Nothing wrong with giving one an advantage based off race that I can see......????? Funyn how racism is sometimes so hard to identify. Some thinks it's OK if for a good cause but the ugly truth is it's still racism I like you yessir, But don't consider it racism.i think it's only fair. I think we screwed the Indians for our own benefit and the treaties gave them the right to self govern and the have their traditional hunting practices and grounds. How would you feel if you were rum off your spread and. Given the worst crap piece of land In Return, and ya had to look as some SOB on your property prospering, killing all your cattle,(like we did the buffalo) in their world while you and your family were fighting disease and starvation on the piece of rock they gave you to live on? Youd be a mad son of a gun, and that's what our government did to the native americans. And the tribe they stole it from gets? To the victor goes the spoils, they would still be innthe stone age .

Treaty Rights relative to these hunts go back to the 1850's it says. Lawful hunting in general is considered a privilege legally. However treaty hunting is considered a right. Right or wrong I don't see it going away anytime soon. I am generally supportive of hunting. I know the greenies really love to bich and whine about this as well. I am more against the antis than the Indians on this one.
FAQ on tribal treaty hunting rights and bison • What are tribal treaty hunting rights? Most Native American Tribes entered into treaties with the United States Government in the 1800s that reserved the tribes’ hunting and fishing rights. Treaty-reserved hunting and fishing rights can be exercised on Indian reservations and in certain areas outside the reservation in the state of Montana. For example, the Salish & Kootenai and Nez Perce Tribes entered into the Hellgate Treaty under the Stevens administration in 1855 which stated, in relevant part, “The exclusive right of taking fish in all the streams running through or bordering said reservation is further secured to said Indians; as also the right of taking fish at all usual and accustomed places, in common with citizens of the Territory, and of erecting temporary buildings for curing; together with the privilege of hunting, gathering roots and berries, and pasturing their horses and cattle upon open and unclaimed land.” • What do these treaty rights have to do with hunting bison near Yellowstone National Park? Five Native American tribes have demonstrated their aboriginal right to hunt bison in Montana near Yellowstone National Park (YNP) under treaties that were negotiated with the U.S. Government. These are legal hunting rights, and tribes hunt during seasons and under regulations established through their own regulatory processes. At times, these hunts may occur outside of Montana’s regulated hunting seasons. • How do these treaty rights relate to state hunters hunting with a license issued by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks to hunt bison? Montana law and the tribal treaties address hunting in different ways. Under Montana law, hunting is a personal privilege. Under treaty law, hunting is a treaty right. The difference may seem subtle, but it is important. Montana hunters maintain the personal privilege of hunting allowed through state regulation. That privilege may be revoked for reasons such as the violation of state fish and game laws. Tribes as a group have a hunting right, protected by a treaty and recognized by the U.S. and Montana governments and further defined through court proceedings. This right isn’t a personal right, but rather a tribal right, with each tribe’s governance process determining who is allowed to exercise this right. • Which tribes currently have demonstrated treaty rights to hunt bison in Montana and are now hunting bison in Montana? Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, the Nez Perce Tribe, Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, and the Confederated Tribes of the Yakama Nation.

Native people in North American interior were using firearms for a couple hundred years before settlers showed up. The fur trade in the early 1700s and continuing right thru every improvement in guns were traded to the native fur producers in return for fur. Many tribes trading thru the middleman trade were using guns,Knives Axes and other trade goods long before any white men moved into the interior.
One of the factors in Custers defeat was that the Natives had repeating rifles acquired thru the fur, equestrian and meat trade while the army still did not.

What's the "in common with the citizens of the territory" part of the Hellgate treaty mean? From my simple perspective it could mean they share the same common rights that the citizens have. exactly. screw the greenies, shoot a bison, no matter your race.

On this end of the state they mostly just shoot the bulls and cut the head off to sell for meth money. The rest is left to rot. True stewards of the land. There is a jackwagon horn buyer from Billings that comes down a couple of time a month to buy the heads
I can't believe that cop put me in the back seat when I clearly called shotgun.
