I'm on a diet of meat, cheese, eggs, and some veggies. When I need a snack, I eat pork rinds or mushrooms with jalapeno ranch dip. Been on it for 17 months and have dropped 85 pounds. I never did miss the carbs for some reason.

I eat these once in a while. I doubt its health food but once in a while snack they taste good. I got a pecan tree. A native wild one. Not those big pecans. A few of those are good too. I think we are supposed to be omnivore’s. Grain and sugar are what flips me inside out.

Nuts have a good amount of fat, nice to snack on..use olive oil for cooking, or lard, or coconut oil. Add butter to your coffee, tinned herring and mackerel in olive oil is a good change of pace...

Chicken has very little fat in it, I suggest you up your fat intake (bacon, fatty steak and the such) or you're going to have issues on the toilet..

I started eating carnivore on Feb.6 2023. It took me 92 days to lose fifty lbs. I still eay carnivore still but not as strict as I was. I'm down 62 lbs now. I stopped two BP meds and a gout daily med, body aches are gone unless I really overdo it. I can work in the heat better than I used too. I used to skip meals on a regular diet now I need to eat regularly. I'm 62 years old retired Army with 5 years of that in the 101st Airborne, my body has been beat up, I feel the best I have since I retired in 1995. I can even fit into my old duty uniform now. I don't plan to go back on a standard diet this is the best life physical life change I have made. Good luck West River Rogue give it at least a month before you go back to any other diet.

Bingo! It's a Plan, not a diet. If you feel hungry, eat more, just not anything with carbs. Early on, you will crave carbs. That will pass. My first 2 weeks, I felt like I was being poisoned. Your entire digestive system needs time to adjust.
The real poison was all of the carbs that I was addicted to. So in essence, the process during that 2 weeks was detox.
A drug addict coming down from heroine, or an alcoholic going sober, or a cigarette smoker quitting cold turkey feels like he is being poisoned. What is the real poison?

the reason pork rinds work is they are mostly air and fat with a touch of protein

what they help with is if you miss having a crunch

my wife misses the crunch of crackers , chips , and such some times

less the longer she has been on a very low carb diet.

Red peppers can add up as a carb source as can onions and well of course any fruit like tomatoes but some some times is just so darn good , you just make sure it is a really good in season apple and not some mostly taste-less apple from the grocery.

have a really ripe tomato when they are perfect and not just a blah tomato from the store out of season.

your going to want some of this stuff again in your life especially really good fruit, the point is to make it the sometimes and cut the carbs that are just so much excess the cereal grains.

planting chard is good it is around almost the entire season and can add vegetable volume , greens are generally good

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Iam on a mostly carnivore diet.I have unlimited amount of free moose meat and fish and waterfowl, so that is my main diet. I buy bacon and chicken on occasion but never buy beef or pork.

I have a garden and grow turnips, and cabbages and eat the greens. Other than that I don't buy or eat any fruit or vegies. No potatoes, rice, or noodles.

I am at my desired weight of 177 so I add in a few carbs in the form of homemade fried bread, with butter and honey from my bees. I need the energy I have an active lifestyle and exercise. I eat pickles and cheese and berries.

Its important to eat fat so I render moose fat and buy butter and olive oil. I use lard too when I dint have moose fat.

When a person goes from eating carbs to meat diet their stomach is not prepared. The acidity in your guts need to be brought up so drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water to help with digestion.

Its great to see people taking charge of their health by changing their diet. There are so many benefits both physical and mental and such a small price to pay for it.

And as long as the diet is changing its a good idea to supplement in a bit of exercise. Keeping Muscle mass as we age is the secret to longevity. Old frail men fall and break their bones, old muscular men fall and get back up.

I like vinegar. So I snack on pickled eggs and cucumbers.

The answer is here, but you may not have noticed.

Fat is required along with protein to keep you from feeling hungry.

Add cheese, eggs, pork rinds, etc. Of course, butter works but you'll be better off by adding other items, not just butter.

Yukon jeff has answered many times on this topic.

Think really low carb (veggies are carbs) and you'll be ok.
