There isn't a single animal rights organization that can be trusted , especially those that use actual animal shelters like the Humane Society , or SPCA in their international names .
HSUS stands for Humane Society of the United States, ASPCA stands for American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals instead of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals which are local animal shelters.
Neither ASPCA or HSUS supports any animal shelters more than less than 1 % of their income.
Neither even own a shelter for animals.

ASPCA and HSUS both made sure to have videos of saving pets in hurricanes or other disasters , and would leave the animals in local shelters with little or no financial aid.

I don't know if they work together or not , but haven't see HSUS posting TV ads in years now , but ASPCA has long TV ads all the time.

They are nonprofit , so they can sue farming , hunting, trapping, and Circuses , and never pay court costs.
But to defend themselves , those sued by them have to pay huge amounts to courts in costs.
