I just finished skinning a coyote, it's got quite a bit of flesh on it, but it's drying out, and I'm wondering if I can put it in a salt brine until tomorrow?
I'm hoping this will make it softer, and I won't have to thaw it out later.
I am concerned that it's gonna rot because of the flesh still on it.
will it work?

Best way to save it is remove all the large pieces of flesh and fat with a knife, then salt the skin side heavily and roll it up.Set it on an angle to drain.Next day shake off the old salt give it another quick scraping and re salt with fresh salt and roll up.
It will keep like that for a couple months until you are ready to tan it.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
