anyone have good squirrel hunting on public land, Around here all my good places have been built up in housing. There are squirrels everywhere there but no hunting. Every few years I will get a call for problem with squirrels, and get some that way, but been thinking of taking a weekend trip. what is the limit there? ours is 5 a day?

Missouri is 10 a day with a possession of 20. But you can eat squirrels each day so possession will go down. Very few people hunt squirrels anymore. On state ground you usually have the woods to your self. I’m NE Missouri and very seldom see anyone. Use to go to the Ozarks and never saw a person. Clay is our pro and I’m sure he will add to this.. Clay what’s better at Swan Lake. 42 in super mags or big feet for long neck geese. Those were the good old days

Try the camp by Channing it had a lot of squirrels in the past even black ones.

Missouri is a long way to come to squirrel hunt, but we got lots of them and nobody is hunting them anymore. 10 a day and an 8 1/2 month long season. Be happy to fix you up. Got a camper set up year around at my house for visiting hunting buddies. You are welcome anytime. Lots of private and the public is just as good.

My buddy has a place in central MO I’ll be down there next week it has a bunch of squirrels down that way. I’ll talk with him I’m sure you could use my roost for a few days. Hauling the new shower/toilet down to him.
