Does anyone have any experience growing their own cypress seedlings using the fruits off a mature tree?

If so, could you explain the process you've used to go from fruit to sprouted seedling? Thanks in advance

I didn't do it like that but did pull up some seedlings and replanted where I wanted them.

You need to let the cypress ball dry out. Once dried you can remove the seeds. The seeds are going to be covered in some really sticky sap. Dry out the seeds. Late winter or early spring you can plant them in pots or in the ground. They cannot get too dry and they can't be soaking. It has to be moist soil. Its a pain, but if you can't find seedlings, you can grow from seed.
