Sorry, facebook ad link deleted.

Some idiot was looking for someone to:
  • drop high risk trees
  • cut into 16 inch lengths
  • Leave wood for owner
  • pay for the privilege

Sneak in at night with a bow saw and drop a tree on his house. I'd feel privileged to provide that service. It would feel like someone paid me money.

Was it one of those fairly frequents ads that people post offering to let you keep the brush, for a fee, if you drop the tree, cut and leave all the useful wood for burning for them? I frequently see ads like that, but can't believe anyway takes them up on it.

Slightly less greedy people run ads to split the fire wood, if you're bonded and insured and clean up and haul away all the mess, when you cut the tree that is hanging over their house. I don't see them getting any takers either.

I see people offering free stumps, if you will dig them and fill the hole in with soil and plant grass seed too.

Every Fall there is a bunch of ads like those. Those people must think other people are hard up for wood.

My Fave is when they offer free Oak fire wood, you cut and haul for yourself, and when you check it out it's an old dead Elm or some other crap tree they want removed for free. Women are the worst.

I'd see if they'd sweeten the deal a little, maybe let you mow their lawn, clean the gutters, etc

That's a better deal than some i have seen. Last year on Craigslist, someone offered to let people trap their bait pile, for the price of 1 bag of corn per raccoon caught.
