I don't think there is an expiration on my lures. The only exception is the skunky lures. The skunky odor will diminish over time. It can be refreshed buy adding a drop or two. I have used some Backbreaker that dad made and is 27 years old. It works just fine.

Agree on skunky lures losing their punch after awhile. I buy some each year and some are leftover from previous year or even two. Skunky lures can lose their punch for sure. Other like beaver castor don’t seem to ever go bad for me. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Somewhere I read that if an alcohol is used for antifreeze, by the next season the lure will be a lot weaker? He recommended using certain lures up during the season.

A well made lure will improve with age. Some lures require aging to work best.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
