D-Backs versus the Phillies, both teams peaking well right now. Two Texas teams going for the AL.
Braves could not score runs like they did all season.

Not gonna lie, got a little nervous there for a minute or three.

Walking the bases loaded can make anyone nervous. And then the 9th inning was hard on my heart.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

One of the many stupid moves the Cubs made was letting Castallanos go. He's a heck of a hitter. I see Schwarber choked in that big situation though, too bad he was never on base ahead of Turner, who was a hitting machine last night. That Bohm guy sucked it up at the plate too last night. lol, Kimbrel always worries me but the guy comes through more often than anyone would think. The shame of it is it can't be Diamondbacks vs. Phillies in the WS. I don't give a hoot for either of those other two teams. I'll be hoping for the Texans to beat the Astros though!

They seemed to have choked when it came time to shine for the big dance.

Rangers take the first two from the Astros, and the Phillies win game one over the Diamondbacks. I'm hoping these trends continue. I'd be ok with Phillies vs. Rangers in the World Series. I'll be rooting for the Phillies if that is the case.

I have always been a national league fan. Phillies look strong right now. Houston was a way better team on the road so we will see.
One of the things that many times gets over looked IMO with all the stars, salaries etc. are the managers. The teams left in the playoff have excellent managers.

Just before the season began, I put $5 on the Rangers to win it all. Pays $95. Yesterday my cash out option was up to $37. I don’t know, I might wait a few more games to cash out, any team has a shot…it’s a gamble lol.
After there was zero outs, bases loaded and the Astros still didn’t get a run I thought they were done. But the they came back, last 2 batter’s almost tied it up twice in the bottom of the ninth

Thought I heard that the Rangers won 5 road games in the play offs and 1 home game. I'd like to see a Rangers-Phillies World Series.

Phillies look very strong. Good to be peaking at this time! We will see how the playoffs wind up. Rangers have been very streaky this season. The Phillies started slowly but had a great last two months.

I remember flipping baseball cards at recess in grade school.

Lots of Philly players..

Jim Bunning

Dick Allen

Cookie Rohas...are the only ones I can pull out of my head.

Phillies are well stocked with ex-Cubs. Schwarber has had 3 hr in two games, Castillanos (sp) is doing great this post season as well, and though Kimbrel scares me everytime he takes the mound, he seems to still be getting it done.

The Rangers and Phillies are up 2 game to nothing. It'll be hard for the other teams to come back from that.
