Lots of Ryobi tools in our shop and in all of our service vehicles. I don't know how many years we have had them and used nearly every day. All kinds of tools with all the same batteries and many chargers. They have done their job. We have a few Rigid tools also. I have burned up more Rigid tools than any others.

Me too. Power tool owners are same as the Ford/Chevy thing

I'm with ya Tommy and Gary. Many years ago my now ex-wife got me an 18V Dewalt for $99 at Sears. We knew the company sponsored a ton of rodeo athletes and events so we were happy to buy their product. It probably had 5 or 6 years of fairly hard use on it when a buddy of mine bought a quarter (that's 160 acres for the Canadians) and we all pitched in to help him put up a huge pole barn.

When we started sheating the roof, all of his buddies from Wichita
and OK City showed up with very expensive industrial grade drills and drivers + at least 3 batteries. They cussed my el cheapo Dewalt because 2 batteries and 1 charger would keep me running indefinitely and even with 3 batteries and 2 chargers they had down time waiting on a fresh battery to fully charge. I told then 99 bucks on black Friday and it ticked them off even worse!

I have basically bought every 18V tool they make when they went on clearance when the new 20Vs showed up. Very handy to have on the trap line, the fence line, or a remote set of catch pens.

I have my fair share of Snap On, Blue Point, Mac, and Milwaukee but we have a lot of quality tools that cost a lot less nowadays.

Use mainly craftsman here with good results. Got a ryobi cut off saw and a miter saw as well with no complaints.

Show me a low cost drill that will do consistent 25-50 tapcpns
into sandstone and masonry, a day and I'll buy one. Last one
I saw was $250 owned by electrician. Impressive cordless. Not
like the ones that last a week.
Like all gear, they have their place but color matters lol.

Here it’s mainly Dewalt, have a couple of Milwaukee tools, but it’s what the local supplier had so that what I’ve stuck with.

My favorite color is Makita blue. I think it can handle the task you mentioned with ease. I paid around $175 for the drill, battery and charger. It's been a great tool.
