Nothing like a Weatherby. I love my 300 mag MV. Wish he would have propped it against that moose for the pic.

Nice colour shovels , good moose.

"Shovels" work for caribou, "palms" for moose.

Nice bull! Looks to be in his prime, and should be good eating.

and now the work begins! i've helped haul a few out, easiest was we got a base tow truck near enough to winch it out. worst was in the yukon river, shot on shore, ran into the river and died.

My son was out in the middle of a lake on an island and called the moose off the mountain down to the shore. He had to take a boat across the lake to get to the moose so he left the rifle in the boat.

I understand that effort, SP. The work begins after the shot.

I think he will like his rifle very much , to hunt with it in the future too. I just really like seeing Weatherbys.

Thanks for the share of nice photos too.

Beautiful bull and great photos too. Congratulations to your son on his successful hunt. Awesome experience for him, I'm sure.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

I don't know much about moose at all. How long ago was that moose in velvet? Those antlers look as clean as white-tail antlers right after they lose the velvet and before they start rubbing trees.
