I’ve been learning on this forum, for a while. This year, something clicked and I’m slaying coyotes. My normal catches are coons and possums so I basically just eat them. Now I’m stacking up on coyotes. My question is what’s the best way of disposing the carcasses. I’m in the country on the edge of a small town but have neighbors, as in a normal neighborhood. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Find a dead pile or see if the dump will take them.

We had a place that would compost them with dead pigs.

Part 'em out and take them back where you got them and scatter. Return the resource to the land.

Don't throw them in water anywhere, and don't put them where other people will see them. Ask the people who own the ground you are trapping if you can put them there somewhere, usually a deep ditch or dry wash out in a field.

I have a dead pit. And this post reminds me I need to make a deposit of hide hoof and ribs of a deer that's still in the back of my truck.

If it took this post to remind you, it must not be that old yet.

I used to burn all my carcasses in my outdoor wood boiler. Coon with all their fat made for a good fire starter.

I have accesses to as many empty seed corn /soybean bags as I need for free With a very small amount of cutting I can usually get 2 or 3 fox/coon carcasses in a bag I sometimes double bag them . And Ithan put them out with my regular house trash pick up .I am cautious as far as having any identity in the bags

Yes, out of sight and out of the minds of the public!
I place them back out on the trapline. Use them too attract more critters.
I'm not a fan of hanging them on fences. Nothing personal.

I usually have a big brush pile by late fall so that's where they. Then burn the pile in the winter.

I use a 50 gallon steel barrel . Start burning a few fatty coons in with some paper or cardboard. Once it gets going keep adding carcasses and it will keep burning for days. It will be a little smelly but I live in the country so no one is offended.

Here the local Bosnian community in Utica, NY, they eat them. I was told once you eat a coyote loin you will not want a venison loin. Still not for me. sick

Most times the carcass is deposited back in the state land a couple of miles. Always a good draw for snaring.
