I did some after-hours HVAC work at Walmart some years back. They had a trusted employee watching the back door making sure no one was making off with the merchandise. They were primarily worried about their own employees. might be a local problem, can tell you thats not the case in the ones i work in. Course you usually couldnt get out of the back of the stores without going out of the fire doors and triggering an alarm. Some stores have more theft issues than others. The stores Im in dont have a lot of security cased stuff. Other stores it seems like everything is locked up.

My local has gone full self checkout. Just walked out leaving a buggy full of meat and dairy because the lines stretched half the width of the store and doubled back to the middle.
Told the store manager that I would not be back and called corporate to tell them the same.
You’re an idiot.

You’re an idiot. I see you don't have an actual response.

Our Walmart the other day had one register open, and three employees standing at self check out, seems to me they are doing it backwards. Easy to get in Hard to get out

There are too many other good choices around here. HEB, Aldis in the city, Brookshire Bros in tiny little towns, not to mention the German, Polish, and Czech butcher shops that are far superior to any chain grocery store.
I find it easy to limit my biz with Walmart and do an online order and curbside pickup like ADC does when I have to.

Notice how the stands to put your bags of groceries on at the self checkout are tiny-that's on purpose. If it's a pain to buy a lot of stuff at once, you're more likely to buy just a few items and return to the store more often. And, seeing as how most people always make a few impulse purchases at the store, more trips to the store=more money spent at the store. I like having a cashier simply because the conveyors and bagging stations are bigger, so I can buy a weeks worth of groceries at a time. Some walmarts have the belted(full table) checkout lanes for those with a lot of stuff. If I buy a lot, I just bag things and stick em back in the cart as I go.

Does Walmart have benifits like decent ins group policy or vacation or holidays ? I spent last go on 6 yrs with none that . What a waste Dave, my daughter works full time as Wally World here, she gets dental, eye glass and health insurance. I don't know what it costs her. She also gets paid holidays and vacation. I think she's making 20 bucks an hour.

Jamie, I all but refuse to set foot in one. Maybe 4 times a year out of laziness or necessity in a town that doesn't have any other options.
Frankly can't stand the place and I don't believe they are cheaper on average.
