Fall Meeting First Fox Contest
Over the years, during our fall meetings, we’ve often seen fox cruising through the field behind the Lower Perkiomen Valley Sportsman’s clubhouse. What do you say we have some fun and try to catch a couple?

$20 per trap set to participate. You can buy multiple traps to increase your odds. You must use your own equipment.

Half of the total pot goes to the district and the other half goes to the winner(s). If there are multiple foxes caught, half of the total pot still goes to the district and the other half will be divided out evenly amongst the winners. If no fox are caught, the participants will vote amongst themselves to either donate their entire entry fee to the district, or have half of their entry fee returned. If the vote is split, it will go to a coin toss.

All traps must be set between the hours of noon and 2 PM the day before the meeting, Saturday 10/21, at the Lower Perkiomen Valley Sportsman’s Club. The district director will be present for the duration, rain or shine.

If your set(s) catch anything other than a fox, you owe the district an additional $5 per non-target animal. All traps must be removed on Sunday 10/22 after we check them as a group.

Let’s get a good mix of participants so we can fatten the pot. I’m hoping this is the start of an annual D12 tradition. Sure, the money would be nice to win, but you know you want the bragging rights more than the cash!

Just wanted to put a reminder out there that we're les than a week away from the District 12 fall meeting.

Also, the fox contest is open to any PTA member so if you're from another district and want to try your luck, feel free to join us between noon and 2 PM on Saturday 10/21 to set your trap(s). We'll check traps as a group on Sunday before the meeting starts.

I believe we're going to have some guests from D11 to discuss their plans for the 2024 PTA state banquet that they're hosting, along with some guests from D10 to discuss a possible joint spring trapping rendezvous. There will be food available for sale so come hungry, and as always we'll have our 50/50 raffle.

I look forward to seeing everyone there.
