Is Yo Ho still making trowels? Can you tell me any Yo Ho history?

Get something with what I call the handle like the Yo Ho. Life easier.

JC Conners tools are the best made today...in my humble opinion.

I use JC Conner's Badger with the hoe on one end and a trowel on the other. It might bend a bit if a freight train ran over it but I doubt it.

I also use one of those Groundhog tools.

I agree JC's tools and equipment are well designed and constructed for hard use. Jim has a lifetime in what he puts out for the trapper. I don't think you could wear out his tools in 2 lifetimes.

There's a good Plug for you Jim, my old friend. smile

His videos pretty much taught me how to trap. I never had a trapping mentor. I'd love to ride his trapline with him.

Hern I had a yo ho for about a year but I needed something I could really torque and twist with on that D handle in our hard frozen winter coyote ground here. The flimsy thin metal on the D handle just was OK for early season but not late season for me. It didn’t last me too long and I gave it away.
Best trowel I had my uncle made me from aluminum had a small 3” trowel with a t handle all welded up and it was light and super strong. Had a larger one he made me for water line it had about a 6” cupped and rounded blade and also aluminum stock it made great pocket sets for coon.
I have one now that is modified dirthole trowel with a solid steel handle welded to it and a welded stock D handle, stout built and serves me well in any season.
Uncle made my hammer too. 3 lb sledge with flat bar welded on top back part and a hard weld tip on the stock bar that is ground sharp for digging and the sledge for hammering stakes and drivers. Has a nice handle too.
Got to love having a machinist family member with some scrap laying around.
Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
