I try to chime in if the subject is something I know a little bit about and I do agree that even a small grain of gratitude is always appreciated.

I remember a guy asking about local amenities because he said he wanted to take the kids to a rondy. I used google to make sure some places were still in biz because it has been 30+ years since I had lived there and I posted the info. After a few days of him not logging in and seeing it (I assume) I pm'd him that same info. Nothing, notta! No hi, bye, kiss my (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) or nuthin!

I can't say I am practiced in all matters of etiquette but if anyone ever tried to help me provide a better experience for the kids I'd at least have enough in my sack to say thank you.

I just woke up and checked the thread to see what direction it was heading and of course you can read that. I will try to get back on track latter but I think I need some advice with that. I am off to get my bi-yearly trim. I am gonna ask my barber about this question because he may have some advice. grin

Yes that is one of the reasons I asked the question. After taking time to respond with a HELPFUL suggestion you would hope people would have the decency to at least say thanks! Not always the case I have determined from experience.

All other topics, it depends on a lot of factors; does the question seem legitimate and well thought out? Is there enough detail? Have two dozen internet experts already answered and do I feel like having a keyboard disagreement with them? Has someone with obvious knowledge on the subject already answered?

Yea the detail part is what gets me sometimes. Like I mentioned earlier in the thread you think you got all the details but then you realize after 3 pages of posts the question you answered was not relevant because the poster did not give all the details in their post initially .
