I have a pair of leather hiking boots that just starting leaking a bit. What can I spray or apply to them to seal them? Thanks Ken

Sno Seal

I use mink oil on all my boots and it works pretty good.

Treating them wont do much good if a seam has let go and it’s leaking there. Inspect all the seams as you may need to squirt a little super glue in there to seal back up. If youve ever own Danner Pronghorns, youll know what im talking about. I limped 2 pairs along for a while with super glue before they were too far gone.

Sno seal works okay but wears off pretty quickly when walking through brush. I have found over the years that the best way to waterproof a leather boot is to buy rubber boots.

Mink oil.or they have a.waterproofing spray for boots

If you use sno seal heat the boots up in the oven and rub the seal in good so it's not laying on the surface, mink oil is ok, I didn't feel it lasted long either

Obenaufs heavy duty LP works good....but as mentioned, its not gonna fix loose seams.

Thanks for the suggestions. These are Merrils and are pretty new. I will check the seams then seal them. Not sure which one I will use yet. I do like the idea of heating them up.

Mink oil a saddle soap to clean.

I use surplus GI boot dressing, basically snow seal, and it's awesome!
