Earlier in the season as me and my bear hunting buddy Cory were cruising up the HWY to go check bear baits and we found this little red teddy bear laying along side the road. My thoughts where it was a sign from the bear spirits and would bring us good luck! At least that is what I was thinking Cory on the other hand thought it was possessed and that is why someone tossed it



So I hung that lil bear at the bait squirted it down with some of Glacier Bear bubble gum cover scent and looked what showed up!

Last night my buddy Cory connected with a nice 7.5 boar. Another moose eater down



Pretty much done with the bears and focusing on the moose now.

Our fall bears can be pretty raunchy smelling from being on salmon. I hope you were spared from all of that.

mad mike yeah that one wasn't to bad Hands down the worst one I have dealt with was the one Wolverine Hunter got down on Kodiak. It took a bit to get rid of that smell

Well I didn't have high expectations for moose hunting this year especially after the winter kill that we had. Did manage to call a few bulls in but nothing legal. Seed for next year

Standing on a bluff looking over a meadow when all of a sudden I hear a twig snap behind me. Turn around and see this joker bum rushing me For a split second I thought it was a brown bear cub. Happy that it was not



Time to focus on gettin a few beaver.

Good to be out and on the land either way. Moose was tough this year with the highest water in 10 years. Most the places I like to walk back into were full of water. Good luck with the beaver!

Well got out yesterday and was able to put in a few bever sets with my buddy Cory. Funny how the water was way high during moose season and is now the lowest I have ever seen it!

TeamV sent this stuff to me to use for bear baiting. My nose told me to save it for beaver trapping

Well got out there today and set a few traps for beaver. Hit the bear bait as well and got that back up and running. There is a toad out there, It ate just about the entire bear that my buddy shot 2 weeks ago. Hoping he sticks around for a spell and slips up.

Glacier Bear Products out of North Pole, TeamV 's bear butter strikes again



Thought I had a bear come through tonight at the bait station. I been missing a barrel for about a month now. The jokers broke the chain and drug it off Tonight I heard something beatin up a barrel about 200 yds away, pretty sure it is the one that is missing. Hopefully they will hit the bait in the next day or two getting pretty close to the season closing.

Did the SCCATA trapping class today, We had 18 or 19 students! Loved seeing the youngsters there and all the new trappers! I always learn something new listening to my fellow trappers teach. This is one of those things that when I leave I always have a big smile on my face

Neat! Not much for the trappers education mandatory class in Montana. Should be something like this school, more trapping oriented rather than just teaching ethics because they want to appease the antis.

SlickPan any education is better then none IMO! It gets fellow trappers together and creates connections.

Well the baiting season came to a close yesterday. Pretty much spent the day packing out gear with my buddy and cleaning up the mess that bears tend to make.



Plenty of seed for next year unfortunately for the moose.

For the past three years Ted has been hounding me to come up on his birthday and do some spear fishing for the white fish. It was a beautiful night with the northern lights on full display! Ted actually did pretty good and got a dozen and a half. I only the other hand on got two

For a dude that is 64 years old he still got it in him



Saw some that had the full rainbow spectrum but for some reason my phone only picked up the green.



Ted made a offer for me to come up and trap with him in his AO. Since I aint got the wolverine or wolves in my area an since I aint getting any younger I decided to take him up on the offer. Going to run a line up north with him an run mine down here. Hauled the first load of bait up to his place since it is already well below freezing up there and wont rot..



Not often you get to see 4 rams right along the highway! Pretty cool to see.

Sounds like great times! I have wanted to spear whitefish but haven't got it figured out yet. On the other hand I can spear pike all day some years, but this year is off to a slow start. I am looking forward to hearing about your lines this year!
