I had a cork gun, too, it was OK. When they came out with the guns that shot those 3/4" or so plastic disks, now those were great. You could stack a bunch in the mag and fire every time you pulled the trigger. Had many a war with friends with those.

I remember the break over double barrel I had. From about 1962 or 3. Don't even see them at sales anymore.
Not surprising in this day and age. You could shoot an eye out!
Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.

I had a disk gun too, lots of fun and didnt hurt near as much

Seems I remember cork guns , and playing with them. I know for a fact , my four brothers and I got the Mattel rifles that shot spring loaded casings , that propelled a plastic bullet. Used greenie caps on the casings for the pop, or noise of a real shot. The spring was in the shell casing, and the trigger set off the hammer that shocked the spring to release the plastic bullets. Never knew what happened to them , just disappeared all at once. Could it of been because we seemed to shoot each other with what ever we had, be it slingshot, bow and arrow , BB gun , or home made cannon using cherry bombs for the powder?
We have met the enemy and the enemy is us!
