Forty years ago today, 23 October 1983, was the second bloodiest day in the history of the United States Marine Corps, second only to the first day on Iwo Jima.
241 Marines, Sailors and Soldiers lost their lives that day when an Islamic terrorist drove a truck bomb into the barracks in Beirut Lebanon.
Please take a minute today from your busy schedules to remember these fallen, my Brothers, that gave their lives during a "peace-keeping" mission to a part of the world that neither has peace nor desires peace.

Lamberth, G.L.
Cpl., USMC

Thank god for marines. Rest in peace.

Our son is a marine and we don't know where he is right now. We just know he is overseas.
