Thought I would share a photo I took yesterday out checking traps. I took a good friend of mine who’s bound and determined to get back in the woods after a knee surgery. He’s in his upper 80’s so not hiking to all the sets but had a great time tagging along in his rig. One of the last nice days out here in N Idaho before we get snowed in up in the high country I think. Here’s to hoping the wolves come back through this week, it’s been tough with all the hunting activity this last month.

Great lookin scenery.

Back in the 80's my buddy was dating a realtor and she hooked us up with some barn space behind a big 2 story house we could rent dirt cheap if we painted the place up. Turns out, the house had been divided up into rental suites and as we were moving into our new shop / fur shed one of the tenants came out to visit. He was 82 and had trapped back in Iowa where he was from so, we could swap stories without end. We ended up taking that old man with us on the trapline for the next 3 years and it was as much fun as I had ever had to date or since. Enjoy.

I’ve got a few #3’s out for coyotes, but yea mostly the wuffs. So far they have thwarted me.
