Hey yall, thanks for letting me in here. Not new to trapping, however, I have been out of the game awhile. My focus is on wolves here in Montana, which I have not tried trapping before. So far I got just enough information in my bean pan to be humiliating... I'll be looking for and need all the help I can get!!

Trapped a bunch in early 2000's. Then stopped and had to do life stuff. This year pointed out that perhaps my "life" stuff maybe is not that important. By next year I would like to be running full tilt, proficient enough to possibly (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) myself out to ranchers and the like. Not sure what etiquette is on here for information. I'm not looking for honey holes if that's a thing. I've been hunting them for several seasons, finding not the issue.

If anyone has insight they willing to share I am all EARS. Then I will gladly report back this winter when I go screw it up and give yall something to laugh about. Sure, as I get going I'll have millions of questions.

Starting out I will be using MB750. Understand they are not ideal for winter snow sets, however that's all I will have to start with. Do plan to start adding bigger footholds to the line up as I go along. Season won't even start for me in this area until December ish due to grizzly bear area.

Anyway, that's a bit. Look forward to getting to know yall.

May find more information you are looking for in the Wilderness forum as the lower 48 for the most doesn't have a season on them.

Never trapped a wolf, but if legal, I think they are susceptible to a snare also. Looking forward to following your season!
