I haven't had some of these in quite a while. Broke down and ordered some online. A tad spendy , but real good.

They can be difficult to find in some places , especially in the warmer climates in the south. They are super sensitive to warmth. If a store in the south has them and they lose A/C even for a short period , the candies melt and that is some expensive stock to lose.

How many on here enjoy these ?

I haven't seen or had maple sugar candy in probably 45 years. I still remember having and enjoying it as a Cubscout, when we went to a maple sugar park.

My down the hill neighbor kid, put a hatchet into his leg trying to chop wood and had to go to the hospital at the same event. We also tried to make torches out of cattails. I saw my first ever muskrat huts and feeding platforms there.

I have a small place in Vermont that I get it but not often. Maybe every two or 3 years a small amount. It must be fresh and if you can find it made to order that is where to buy it.

I took a couple pints or what I made two years ago and yes I got candy, but not much and it was not what I would call marketable. I don't plan to do more or get better at it. I really like cooking with it and I get the maple in my meat dishes, waffles, jams etc.
