I think I need / want one. I see most are MarCum or Aqua-vu, from 200 bucks ish to 1200.00. I'm looking for recommendations or more importantly what to avoid. I see guys on YouTube use them and it looks like crazy fun. Let me know what you use and what you think of it.

Thanks in advance, Gun Nut

I had a AquaVu that worked for a couple years but developed a leak and ruined the underwater camera. I liked that I could run a patch cord to a flat-screen TV which involved another battery and an AC converter but they are very fun IF you have crystal clear water. They are useless in dirty water. About $400

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

the water is too stained to see very far where i live and after getting set up the camera would always spin enough to not be able to see the lure. If I was catching bluegills on the bottom i was always wondering if I was missing suspended crappies. I now use a vexilar and definitely prefer it

I've only just got into ice fishing the last few years. The hunting in this area of western Nebraska is starting to suck. My deer area has been hit pretty hard with cwd and blue tongue. The pheasant populations are thin. We quit hunting waterfowl last year about Christmas time due to all of the dead birds due to the avian flu.

We beat up some big bluegills, perch, and bass in lakes, ponds, and reservoirs. We also catch a bunch of the stocker trout in small ponds. We have walleye and pike in the area, but I haven't figured them out yet.

Thanks Gun Nut.

I had a MarCum, sold it last fall,. Unless you're in very clear water I wouldn't recommend one, the new sonar systems are the cats meow but pricey. I'm on my second year with the Garmin livescope and that thing is cheating..lol

I have the Aqua Vu 360. It has 4 cameras and put it on my big TV in my fishhouse. It's really nice.

Check them out.

I use a marcum camera and it works great in the clear water of the st Lawrence river, not a well one the dark water on the racquette river …. If u don’t have a fish finder I would recommend that before a camera … good luck on the hard water….
