I used to catch the heck out them when I was young at our farm. I'm happy to finally get a sighting of them back around. [Linked Image]

I have read alot on here of their population decline in areas. Correct me if I am wrong but is most people's consensus that coyotes are to blame? I caught a Ton of yotes last year in the area of course they are moving back in but, the cats are thick this year and now this grey showed up.

I’m in southwest Montgomery county Illinois used to catch a good many in 70’s and early 80’s but since the coyotes took over the last one I caught was over 30 years ago.

In open country coyotes always win. Up in Kansas the fox all lived in town. Down here it is brushy enough they can hold their own, I still get a lot of greys chewed on and killed in the trap.
