I still need extra large tails with width as well, however I have yet to find an economical tannery to have them done or even one to send to to try.

They either don't do them or can't provide a tan for regular use. I have heard of some doing home tans but yet have not seen a tail done with home tanning that I feel would warrant me buying any to present to buyers !

As to storage I have stored them up to five years and then had them tanned but found them still easy to crack when folded for wallets, so I would be very leary of buy old stock that hasn't been at least stored in a freezer and not even interested in just boxed up and stored on a shelf tails.

All of my tails stored were also fleshed and scraped before storing. Would not even consider buying just stored tails that have not been opened and worked over frozen or not !

There is a tannery over seas that does them but I can't get them to respond short of making a commitment to send a 1000
Which is not going to happen with seeing and handling a sample !

Hope you find some one though, they are great for lots of leather projects when tanned !!

I have a bunch in the freezer but can't seem to get beaver tails
shipped to the buyer without USPS losing them never to be seen again.

I not only lose the value of the tails but the cost of shipping them as well
as the postal service denies all claims of loss value & shipping costs.

This is not sustainable having lost the last two large flat rate boxes of
beaver tails I tried to ship.

maybe put them on your local fur association fur sale and see if you can find a buyer. Getting them tanned is the issue.

Whole frozen? Turn them into BTO, you could market that.
