I feel foolish asking this, but this has been bugging me all morning since I first saw the tracks. What is confusing to me is the location of these. The tracks are one feet apart and in a straight line. To me they look like bobcat but are not very distinct. I can see no nail marks in any of the tracks. There is a quarter in the snow and a one foot ruler for size comparison..
What gets me is that they are 5 feet from the side of my house. I do have some deer tallow and scraps nearby and the tracks are headed that way.
What say you track guys?

That looks like a nice cat to me! I had some around the chicken coop last night too.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Really got my attention since it was five feet from the house. I did have a big one on camera last winter on my deer rib cage on top of the hill but that is 55 yards away.
Here is that one:

I hope it sticks around a while since it is a big one.

Prop the porch door open and put a litter box in there for the poor little fella. Maybe an old sleeping bag to lay on too.

I am thinking about doing the exact same thing.
