I froze it whole for now in case some taxidermist wants to buy it.
If not,I will skin it complete and tan it.
When I get tired of looking at it I might make something out of it.

Only marten I saw while in Quebec , was a red colored one , darker than yours.

Nice catch. My first experience with canary martin was at an FHA auction. There were strings of them. Not knowing any thing I assumed they all came from one area. After understanding how they did the auction. Then I realized they loted like kind together and they could come from different trapping areas. There were several strings so even thou they are scare quit a few do get caught every season.

Nice marten. I have never seen one like that yet. I caught a grey one and a jet black one. Hopefully I see one just like yours hanging this winter

On a side note, thats a cool reference manual you have there showing the different colors.
