Skipped the Missouri trip this time. 1st time in over a decade. I just haven't shot my bow much..even tho I did arrow a Ga doe back in late Sept. I shot 3 arrows from my bow a week prior to that....so I've shot my bow 4 times this fall...lol.

Now, I have sent some 7mm-08 projectiles downrange at my recently completed shooting bench...

That is another good buck, Swamp. I had one pretty close to that one in the back yard tonight. He was just for looking at. You get that muscle memory built in shooting a bow I have found. At least in my few times not shooting much then heading out to the field to a stand.

Yeah Bob I've shot a bow for so many years I could do it in my sleep. I shot 3D Archery tournaments for years in the early 90s. Was pretty good back then. Got several dust collector trophies...lol

The wife mentioned those duck breasts for that big pot of Cindy's gumbo. They may not have that dish this year at the wild game supper. It coming up on Nov 18th.

That property is special for sure. Tons of game (deer, hogs, turkey)...we've had it 3 seasons now and I'm just learning how the deer and turkeys use the place. It's 1000 acres and only 3 of us can hunt it....it is special for sure. May not always have access to the place so I've got to strike while the iron is hot. It's definitely not north Missouri, but it's MUCH better than my local tracts. There are some 160" plus deer in the neighborhood there. And many in the 130 to 150 inch range....just on this property.
