I used to go to Trail Creek in Indiana to catch to Lake Michigan run. A lot of those fish would weigh over 20 lbs. They would find the weak spots in your gear in a hurry. Lol. Have fun.

Looks like he needs another year;-)

Kinda. They readily strike a well presented offering. The Erie creeks don't necessarily have much in way of forage besides the eggs of others. If you are capable of achieving a good drift, the hardest part is timing when the creeks are most fishable and navigating the crowds.

They do eat. Many people have succes with egg sacs, jigs, lures, and minnows. Also fly fishing is very effective.
