I see a lot of criticism directed at the Biden administration--most of it justified, I agree.

But the Trump administration was worse as far as twiddling thumbs over the illegal immigrant problem. His first two years, Trump had GOP majorities in both houses of Congress. They could have passed a bill while the Dems were helpless to stop them. The Democrats didn't have to stand aside because the Republicans didn't offer a bill for needed changes in the law. Where were the critics of immigration policy then?

As I remember it, Trump was trying to build a wall. And I believe you need sixty votes in the Senate to enact law. Trump had fifty-four.

It would appear congress hasn't passed any extensive immigration reform law since 1986. Most of the changes come from E.O.s

I guess the Democrats' are smart enough to rig an election in 50 states, get an impeachment, grand jury indictments and 40 felonies on trump and the Republican party cant get a court to look into Biden?? Pretty sad state of party to say the least. But back to the illegals, how is it the survive without jobs?? I hear all the talk about free hand outs, every thing from free housing and medical to cell phones but I guess I dont see it in my travels. I will agree some have caused problems that make the news but per capita Im guessing it is more home grown Americans that end up in the justice system. America has a shortage of low paid back breaking work that very few Americans will be willing to fill the job. I see it in every town I travel to and I travel alot. I have stayed in several Trump hotels and most workers doing grounds work, kitchen work and hotel room maid service I am betting are illegal or maybe made legal and cant get any other work. A majority of the ranches and farms I visit can not hire enough or pay enough to get any other labor. I just visited several wheat farms in Colorado and they get South Africans to cut wheat same in Kansas. The fruit orchards in Co. and Wa. are full of migrant workers. As far as Im concerned they should cut out the handouts to anyone that comes into welfare or unemployment offices unless they are willing to do any job. Its real easy to find a common enemy and blame all are troubles on them. Hitler did that in WW 2 the Jews were the cause of all of Germanys problems, according to Hitler.

Still if the congress votes one way , the senate can vote the other , and the senate seems to rule.
