Very nice Snowy. Just something about a symmetrical mule deer that no white tail can match. The muley is majestic looking while the whitetail is sneaky and deceitful looking Seein's how you made an unprovoked attack...caribou are dumb...and look goofy...and they run funny.

Nice snowy. Even though I live in the land of big whitetails I much prefer hunting mule deer. I have ample access to great whitetail hunting and just never do. I have harvested 2 WT in my years of hunting (that I remember) and just enjoy the mule hunting better also. They are majestic animal that I have lived around all my life.

There are muleys here, higher up. Never have shot one, though. So I don't know how they compare to whitetails. For taste, anyway. Nice one, Snowy. It always amazes me to see such big deer out in the open windswept hills like that. The country here is a different world than yours. All in the same wonderful state I hunt big game in the Rockies and like you said, you just don't see the bigger mules. Three fourths of the state have good mule deer the far west quarter I have not witnessed anything that good. Most everything is smoked and made into jerky. An old muley isn't all that great to eat not from the taste but gets tough.
