I went in on a wed to cash, gal said they order cash on Tuesdays for a Thursday delivery so I had to wait until the next Thursday for 7700.

Oh!!!
We had a meeting with my accountant before noon and the topic of getting less than 10k out at a time so you don't have to fill out a form came up. She thinks the feds are lowering the amount down but wasn't sure.
Cash is under attack.

Cash is already illegal. LE routinely steal it forcing the owner to prove it was earned legally. Just like Income tax the burden of proof is on the accused and rarely if ever, even if the victim is legit, are legal expenses compensated

Bank apps are among the most vulnerable targets for hacking. It says here that about 80% of mobile and banking websites are susceptible to cross-site scripting attacks. This is a major concern, guys. So, monitor your accounts regularly. You never know what might happen.

Anything over 600 bucks gets reported. Passed in one of the last budget bills. Think it was the same one with the 82,000 new IRS armed agents. Not correct. You are confusing this with the 1099-K requirement for third party transactions. That was delayed last November . Implementation will be this tax year unless they delay it again. The dollar amount for SAR reports from banks is still 10,000. https://www.cnbc.com/select/irs-600-reporting-rule-delayed/

Major hospital here got ransomware and ended up having to pay who know's what in order to get their employee and patient files back! FBI and everyone one else couldn't hack the hacker doing it. Guess they are too busy rummaging through panty drawer's to worry with stuff like that.
