It's being reported that interest on the US federal debt has passed 1 trillion for the first time. That is roughly 20 percent of every dollar taken in revenue in 2022.

Its projected by the CBO that the deficit will increase 20 billion in the next ten years. The CBO is right about as often as a weatherman, it will double.

It won't be very long that interest and entitlement programs will take up every dollar in revenue.
