Got a new chamber sealer coming and I need to buy bags. Looking for ones that can hold up in a chest freezer as we are doing up about 300 lbs of elk grind and smoked sausage.

Below is the brand I’m currently using the last couple years. Don’t have a lot to compare to, but the other couple brands I used were fine also. Probably made in the same dang factory! I usually just buy the 1,000 quantity so I’m good for years. They’re cheaper than ziplocs for sure!! Happy trapping! ScottW

I get mine from them also, usually keep 3 different size bags.
1000 bags last us a long time.

Yeah Tim, I have a stack of 6x10, 8x12, and 10x13. Can use the bigger ones for about anything and cut em down, but nice to have the little 6x10s for stuff like snack sticks and lotsa other stuff, plus’s less waste. I think our first chamber bags we ever bought years ago came out of Tennessee at Butcher Supply Co. There weren’t near as many options back then. Happy trapping! ScottW

Never used a chamber sealer. Do these bags work in a regular type vacuum sealer?

I don't think so, non chamber sealers need perforations or cross hatch on one layer of the bag to suck the air out.

Chamber bags are flat and may not let your sealer vacuum the air out.

What brand and model did you go with? I have a vac master vp215 and love it except sometimes it doesn’t seem to get the air out as good as it used to even when the gauge is indicating all is well and it’s down to -0.1 MPa. But it’s intermittent. Happy trapping! ScottW
