Los atrapas las despellejo. That's all the Spanish you need to know Boco. I've seen beaver from Tierra Del Fuego years ago, really nice fur, but the put up would make you two beaver connoisseur's throw up. About the same latitude in the south as Alaska is in the north.

Fur trapping for fur is illegal as is fur garment industry. Only ADC & nuisance trapping is allowed but fur & castor cannot be used commercially. Sorry BOCO, NO DICE !!! w

No wonder they got a problem there-the ejits imported the beaver to create a fur industry then banned the fur industry, lol. Must be brain dead down there.

Screw that, they’d have to send a film crew with you guys. Some kinda new series. “Peeler & Boco, Stretchin Beaver Since 69’ “ You’ll beat Yellowstone, and people will be asking if there’ll be a season 9. Think of the spin offs!
Wind Blew, crap flew, out came the line crew

Sorry BOCO, NO DICE !!! w My experience in Latin America is invite the local officials out on the town a few times and you become their compadre. Then you can do whatever you want. Besides, if there’s an issue in Argentina we’ll head over the cordillera and trap Chile. “Ahi si puedes cazar y pelar todos los castores que quieras.”

Btw, if you google up beaver and Tierra de Fuego or Patagonia it seems like you can commercially harvest them. There’s been a change of heart.

That's good. you just have to have a big enough problem to change an idiots mind. WE ARE working on that here in Colorado, but there's just to many of them in Denver and Boulder.

But shipping beaver pelts is always a deal breaker. Boco, how long it take us to fill a shipping container full?

I thought the felt guy set up shop there-just drop off the hides once a week and hit the Honkey tonk or whatever they call it that far south.

Google this, "Beavers in Southern Patagonia" Wikipedia calls the beaver problem there the largest landscape alteration in subantarctic forests since the last ice age. Pretty interesting! Read further and there are the equivalent of millions of USD in grants for eradication programs. Average monthly rent for a furnished accommodation in an expensive area is $283 USD a month, average cost of dining in a good restaurant is $5.12 USD. According to "Expatistan".
