Anybody got any suggestions on hoe to make some GOOD QUALITY trap tags? I use the ones you buy and can write if on, but I've had problems with coons chewing then off the chain everytime this year... I run a small line (12 traps) so I'm just looking to have something decent quality without spending extra on new tags eveytime I catch

Stick a crowbar in your wallet and buy some copper tags from one of the many outfits that make/sell them, Much cheaper in the long run. Can be used to mark other gear too, like fishing nets, trotlines, baskets, turtle boxes, dog collars, hide one behind the butt plate of your rifles, shotguns, pistols etc.

funkes here too. get them with 2 holes instead of one. slip through a chain link and pop rivet, (or wire) through the holes. never leave them dangle as theyll get chewed alot worse.

I bought 100 tags for like $19.99
They’ll come engraved up to 4 lines. I’ve never had one get pulled off yet by wrapping them in a link of the chain.
