Lots of info in the archives here or YouTube it. You need to start with what a properly.put up coon should look like.

Check out Coon Creek Outdoors on YouTube. I applaud your willingness to finish fur!

This market is a great time to learn to put up fur and we were ALL new to it at on point in time. Just keep improving and find what words best for you.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Fleshing looks pretty good. As said above go on YouTube and you will find more information on how to properly stretch and pin them out. Keep after it and I hope you have a great season. Maybe some guys can post some pics of coons on boards for you. I’ll look and see if I have any

Also, be aware that there is a different method of opening cuts for wood vs wire stretch. When you put up on wood, you will make a straight cut from heel to heel in front of the vent. There is a distinct line where you’ll see back fur from belly fur and you’ll follow that line. Then make a straight cut when splitting the tail through the vent to the opening cut. After fleshing and when you put it on the board, you’ll be left with two diamonds (one on each side). Those get wrapped around to the belly side and tacked right tight to the leg fur. The result will be a longer hide when graded from the back side.
I might add that the tail gets tacked out as short as possible. Some pleat the tail but I prefer not to. The short tail gives an extra appearance of a longer pelt.
Once you get it off the board, comb all that fur right to the center of the sight window from both sides. This makes the pelt look heavier during grading.
Have yourself a buff rag and wipe the grease from the drying pelt each night while it’s on the board. The last thing you do before you sell the hide is to buff it with the greaser rag and fluff the fur to the center of the sight window. That greaser rag will add life to the leather.
Appearance is half the grade and little things make a difference!!
