my daughter killed a strange looking coyote yesterday afternnoon while deer hunting. All four legs from it's feet to it's knees were about twice the normal size. It's feet were normal size. I thought it might have been fluid or something but they were hard almost like bone. It's fur looked more like fleece or wool than fur also. Just never saw anything like it before

I wonder if maybe it was a Samson Coyote. I seen lots of Samson Fox but never a Coyote.

Got into the auld steroids.

Must of been an offspring of one of them kind of coyotes that breed the sheep instead of killing and eating them. This is what happens when animal rights folks get involved in sheep protection and predatation.

I had never heard of a samson fox so i looked it up and found some pics and trail cam video of one and that is exactly how her coyote looked. Still doesn't explain the large lower legs tho. Thanks for the info guys. I knew it was very odd looking and something i had never seen before or will likely never see again

Without pictures it is just a wild guess what it was

It's a possible side effect from some tick borne illnesses. I had a dog whose feet swelled up. He tested positive for Lyme's and three other tick diseases.

That could have been a sign of a blood infection.
