Location and paying attention to wind direction are much more important than the type of sets.
I like to put in a dirthole and a flat set at each coyote location and once in a while a post set instead of a flat set. There are so many variations of each set its hard to describe the "perfect" coyote set; if you ask 10 trappers to make a dirthole, you'll get 10 variations!
Pictures of your set and the locations would be the best for us to help you out.

What Mike said. And another very important part of the puzzle is make sure your traps are bedded tight, no movement whatsoever. I also like the stepdown dirt hole sets thrown in the mix. Always make at least two sets close together but not close enough if you get a double that they can reach each other.
Life's too short, enjoy everyday like it was your last.

If the pictures are on your phone. Go to your gallery, use the cut feature and cut a tiny strip off the edge of the picture. Your phone saves it differently and it will upload to the site.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

For just starting on coyotes, that looks pretty good. Mine look like a cow decide it wanted to mine some gold, lol.
