Curious on a some regulations for Iowa snaring, this will be my first year crossing the river to start a second line. Reading the IA hand book says illegal to use mechanically-powered snares, does this mean only washer lock style? In South Dakota I use Dakotaline Snare mini cam locks and death blow snares. Just looking for some clarification before we start setting.

Thanks!

Pretty much every snare is legal in Iowa, as long it's not powered by a 330 spring or similar. They need to be completely submerged if you use them. Otherwise the sky is the limit. The worst regulations on snare here is 1. All snares regardless of design must have a deer stop with a loop size of 2.5" and 2. Are the loop size restrictions you'll find in the regulations.
