Glad I didn't shoot it. I'd hate to pay the taxidermy bill. Maybe he can sell it to some place like Cabelas or whatever.

Best plan I can think of.. my cousin saw a huge buck crossing a field several years back. He worked his way around to the woods it went into ti find a girl hunting the front side. He told her about him and then suggested she walk out in the field the back side of the woods and he would slowly walk the wood to her and hopefully one of them would get a shot. It worked and the buck went in front of her and she killed it. He was a good one I don't remember what he scored but my inlaws lived 49 miles away and heard about that buck and had pictures of it and her with it on their phones. Last I heard cabelas offered her 80k for it but I can't verify if that is true.

Best part is she never told anyone about the guy that came up to her told her the buck was in the woods she was by or him suggesting where she set up and him driving the woods for her. Not a single word.

Point being that's when I became slightly intrested in antlers again. But in my lifetime I probably won't even see that caliber of buck. But if I did and killed it it would get sold as long as I would not get hit to hard on taxes.

My husband shot this 8pt piebald in NJ during muzzleloader season back in the early 2000's. He got it mounted for a steal because the taxidermist wanted to display it in his shop. It only came home in 2017. We actually see a fair amount of piebalds around our area.

Wife killed this one about 25 years ago.
We had been seeing 2 piebald bucks all summer, a 5 and a 7 pt.

Opening morning, I heard her shoot.
Go.over to her stand, " What'd you shoot?"
" Piebald"
"5 or 7?"
" Neither..."

All 3 had the weird, bent nose, goat heads
