We all have them. If we are honest with ourself we can recognize them and k8ndnof laugh at ourselves about some of them I'm not sure if bias is the right term so here are a few examples of mine.
I find it odd when a man does not have a pocket knife on him. And worse it reduces his masculinity In my mind.
As a city kid in a non hunting rual environment most of the time automatically anyone that said they hunted was elevated to hero level and I hung on every word. Out of the people I meet from ky they all hunted. As silly as it is now I still catch myself in disbelief when I meet people from KY that don't hunt. I have noticed with my boys their opinion of people they meet is higher if they hunt. They are starting to realize how misplaced thing that can be. In the last year I have been having the tell me latter how much or little experience people have after listening to them talk.. it's nice to see they are learning how to use discernment and that a lot if "hunters" are not automatically knowledgeable outdoorsman.

When I visited my Grandparents in the UP as a child I was amazed at the hunting/ trapping/outdoor culture it intrigued me to no end I decided then that was the life for me.

The pocket knife example is my bug a boo. I can not fathom how any decent male would not have a pocket knife either being carried or very handy to reach. Just one?

You can go to the doctor to get a sliver pulled. As well as get a 10 day prescription of antibiotics just in case. That’s actually one of mine, people that run to the doctor every time they sneeze or get a paper cut. (And don’t carry a pocket knife)

Any sort of squeamishness about dispatch or touching dead stuff I find disgusting, particularly in a male.
It's just something that has to be done get over yourself. Guy I work with acted like a cartoon elephant dancing around a mouse that came out by his feet. Only thing missing was a squealing. Guy doesn't Carry a knife either. But he thinks he is tough. Lol. I an trying to change jobs or shifts to get away from him.

Amen, Gentlemen. Never without at least two knives, belt and pocket. Usually four when I go to town. If close to my vehicle, I have access to six or seen more, plus an axe and a couple hatchets. When someone asks if I have a knife, I ask where is theirs. Charlie

HA! When my son was 10 or so he won choice prize at some carnival game. He picked a sheath knife. The guy behind the counter looked at me for approval and I nodded. On the way home the boy took the knife out and looked down the blade. “Turn around dad! That carny gave me a bent knife!” I still laugh about that and it was over 15 years ago. Did you turn around?

Peopel that never served in the military, but always say "Well I would have gone in but...." much worse than wearing shorts
To a person ignorant of nature, his country stroll is a walk through a gallery filled with wonderful works of art with their faces turned to the wall
