Was there enough moisture in the ground to sow wheat in September?
I saw some corn south of Topeka today that wasn't worth harvesting.

Ground was dry, then we got about 4-5" over about 36 hrs in Oct sometime. Made the ground super mellow, more wheat up in this area than normal for the last several years. Not much planted here anymore.

Not much wheat gets planted here in the north east corner,
alot of rye is planted regardless of how much moisture is
In the ground at the time, chance's are it will catch a rain before
frost. It's Ethier planted as a cover crop or used for feed in the
spring, bailed or chopped for hayliage.
