Might have picked the wrong stand tonight. Not sure why front of rack is so white and back of rack is so dark.... camera and lighting???? Can't see all his rack but he looks like a bruiser. Think it's a new buck. They are really moving in last couple of days.

Keep in mind the Milo Hanson buck was aged at only 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old. Good genetics and good soil can make big bucks at a young age

154” 3.5 year old that would’ve been a Stud in a couple of years, but it was a first bow buck for the hunter, so I guess it made it ok he killed it.

I don't know what all of this talk about lockdown is. A doe is in estrus for what, 24-36 hours? That would tie up a buck for that period of time and then it's off to the races once again. I was out this morning and cut three different buck tracks in the snow made well after daybreak and we're in the peak of the rut.

And how long and how far do they have to travel before they find another hot doe during the peak of the rut. Around here bucks can become scares for about a week to week and a half during peak breeding. We've past that point here and it's very noticeable in the last 5 days as far as buck movement.

See not that hard or was it .? Weird how the date of the only daylight pic you can find doesn’t support your theory of “going dead” until the 20th . In fact it was when you claimed no activity at all Just saying. But good luck . You are right I think about aging those deer. Based on our bucks. But like yessir says Kansas grows them big and fast . No pics of the 8-10 that blew up your camera on the 19 in the middle of the day.
