Thanks. Checked the line this morning and the foxes have marked all over my sets, but failed to trigger the pan. 2 failure to fires also. I ran out of insulation so I improvised with sage flowers. The dirt worked in and the pan wouldn't fire. Spent the morning remaking all the sets. Lots of activity so hopefully I haven't educated them too much. Polly fill under the pan works well. Some use screen pan covers I have never tried them.

I use poly fill under the pan, if you are near a lady’s craft store you can buy the thicker quilt batting it’s about a 1/2 inch thick, cut into squares. $5 made me over 300 sets worth about a month ago. Coyotes normally destroy them but cats don’t most of the time. I'm 150 miles from anywhere. Just the way I like.

Great picture! I swear I can hear him right now. Thanks. I cropped that from a video I took. He was growling at me and howling quiet a bit. He never took his eyes off me. I have trapped two other coyotes that were females, neither made much fuss and both gave me a perfect broadside without waiting too long. This guy wasn't going down without a fight. He was heavy. I held the pelt by the nose and with the tail touching the ground the nose was level with my eyes. I'm 6'. But that old dog was a pain to skin.

great job, more pic of your view around your house please? Some pics as requested. The nugget is the largest I've ever found. 58 grams. Found in the lower springs mining district in Redding, Ca. I left the peoples' communist 'republic' of California. Best decision my family has ever made. Building my house in the high desert 400 miles east of where I used to live. Haven't found any gold here yet, but I've lost interest somewhat.
